We want to invest in the latest medical technology solutions.  The medical technology industry is something we believe will succeed despite a fallen economy. Several of our emerging medical technology clients are confident they have what it takes and we are putting our foot behind them one hundred percent.

Currently, we are in the midst of funding Rejuvenation International Corporation (RIC) which has invented a process that is both non-invasive and affordable, still offering the same results. Currently, patients are paying an average of over $6-$9,000 for a combined micro-ablation, resurfacing, and collagen stimulation, as compared to the anticipated physician billing of $1,000 per Rejuvenator procedure.  With the new invention of The Rejuvenator, it has now become more reasonably priced and allows great skincare for everyone.

Medical technology is a vast field in which many emerging medical companies come to us looking to be funded.  Another investment, Imaging International Group (IIG) will offer physicians and clients their new Upright MRI technology to clearly identify problems not typically recognized through standard open and enclosed MRI scanners. IIG will offer imaging centers that provide tools for generating the most in-depth, accurate diagnostic image and will be equipped with the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, such as MRI, CT and PET scanners.  With an investment from Voobon Ventures, IIG can achieve its goal of becoming one of the largest networks of diagnostic imaging centers in the country by acquiring existing imaging centers and by creating entirely new ones.

Another current investment, LW Ligand, LLC, treats newborn jaundice and other chronic diseases and conditions that affect newborns.  Formed in 2002 by industry angels, scientists, and physicians from California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, LW Ligand, LLC’s goal is to become the leading provider for neonatology/pediatric solutions for conditions that affect the newborn population and to market them to healthcare organizations throughout the world. The company has developed an innovative, commercially applicable system for measuring:  a new biomarker called unbound bilirubin by means of a blood test.  This will determine which newborns are at risk for brain damage due to jaundice. LW Ligand, LLC has completed development of a patented and published prototype instrument and is poised to move into the commercialization phase once a funding event is completed.

Voobon Ventures has expressed a great interest in partnering with Kalos Therapeutics, founder of the patented cancer treatment, KT-220 ANP.  Kalos Therapeutics is a new drug development company with a unique opportunity to treat cancer by utilizing an endogenous family of peptides in-licensed from the University of South Florida.  Since December 2005, as a fully fledged research and development organization, Kalos Therapeutics, has emerged with the exclusive patent to develop the KT-220 ANP (atrial natriuretic peptide) family of peptides as a new therapeutic for the treatment of cancer. ANPs, were discovered in 1987, but their activity in oncology was only recently discovered in 2004 by Dr. Vesely.

We are dedicated to not only promote individuals in their respected professional fashion category, but maximize their network. We do this by placing them in a magazine made solely to market themselves at the highest level and quality in a magazine format. No one is doing this and it will become Explore Fashions niche marketing tool.

Internet telephony refers to communications services — voice, facsimile, and/or voice-messaging applications — that are transported via the Internet, rather than the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The basic steps involved in originating an Internet telephone call are conversion of the analog voice signal to digital format and compression/translation of the signal into Internet protocol (IP) packets for transmission over the Internet; the process is reversed at the receiving end.

VoIP can be a benefit for reducing communication and infrastructure costs. Examples include:

• Routing phone calls over existing data networks to avoid the need for separate voice and data networks.
• Conference calling, IVR, call forwarding, automatic redial, and caller ID features that traditional telecommunication companies (telcos) normally charge extra for are available free of charge from open source VoIP implementations such as Asterisk or FreeSWITCH.

VoIP can facilitate tasks and provide services that may be more difficult to implement using the PSTN.  Examples include:

• The ability to transmit more than one telephone call over a single broadband connection without the need to add extra lines.
• Secure calls using standardized protocols (such as Secure Real-time Transport Protocol.) Most of the difficulties of creating a secure telephone connection over traditional phone lines, such as digitizing and digital transmission, are already in place with VoIP. It is only necessary to encrypt and authenticate the existing data stream.
• Location independence. Only a sufficiently fast and stable Internet connection is needed to get a connection from anywhere to a VoIP provider.
• Integration with other services available over the Internet, including video conversation, message or data file exchange during the conversation, audio conferencing, managing address books, and passing information about whether other people are available to interested parties.

Although VoIP has many good attributes, there are challenges to the industry.  Those challenges include:

• Quality of Service
• Susceptibility to Power Failure
• Emergency Calls
• Lack of Redundancy
• Security

Keeping these risks in mind, the fact that VoIP provides more flexibility and less operational costs to companies makes for a greater investment and companies will be able to multi-task operationally and manage their systems better.

Landvest intends to develop residential community and commercial projects near military bases in North Carolina and Georgia and projects that will have appeal in the flourishing retirement destination states of North and South Carolina and Georgia.  Landvest has existing and planned projects in the Southeast, specifically in North and South Carolina and Georgia.  The two main development strategies are military influenced and high-end gated developments.
